Popup placements let you easily engage your users by popping up content (such as a poll, quiz, survey, or contact form) on a configured trigger or schedule. We’ve embedded a popup example that automatically displays before a user leaves the site. Check it out by clicking on the address bar!
How to Add a Popup Placement to Your Website:
1) Add Content to the Popup
If you’ve already created Opinion Stage content, you can add the content to a popup from the Popup placement in the Placements Dashboard by clicking Edit Content.
From there, you’ll be prompted to fill your content using search.

2) Edit Your Popup Settings
Under Settings you can customize your popup in several ways, including what triggers it to display
For additional options, head to Advanced Settings under Show in Desktop allow you to customize:
(a) Trigger: What will trigger the popup to appear. The example on this page is an exit popup, triggered when the user tries to navigate away from the page
(b) Location: Where the popup will be displayed on the screen – on the bottom-right or the center of the screen. In the popup example on this page (click on the address bar to see it again) we opted for the popup poll to display in the center of the screen
(c) Timing: How often the popup will be displayed. Our example appears each time a user tries to navigate away, without a time restriction. (This was achieved by entering “0” in the Don’t display more than once in __ minutes field.)
Under Show in Mobile there are Advanced Settings for how often the popup appears for mobile users.
3) And Finally, Embed Your Popup
This works one of two ways:
(a) If you are working on the Opinion Stage plugin for WordPress.org, no need to embed it: it’s already part of the plugin
(b) If you are working on any other platform, you need only copy the code found under the Embed button in the Placements Dashboard and paste it on your site
That’s it: you’re ready to get started!
